Why might you make a traditional dissertation unit enterprising? How might you make it enterprising? What have I done in my attempts to develop an Enterprising Dissertation module in two credit-bearing units at the University of Bristol?

Attached is my short presentation to the Bristol Institute of Learning and Teaching Conference on July 10th 2024 about how we’ve added a 4-page ‘impact plan’ to an existing dissertation unit through innovative use of formats and drawing on approaches developed through both my teaching in the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the commercialisation of SHAPE research I do with the ARC Accelerator.

It was originally a PechaKucha and the eagle-eyed will wonder why there are only 18 slides… because I had two video testimonials from the academic staff that I teach alongside which I could share at an internal conference but not here – but they were very positive!
